Abstract: This thesis investigates the enhancement of practical cybersecurity education by adapting the PB177 Cyber Attacks course exercises for the INJECT Exercise Platform (IXP) and developing a prototype for monitoring students’ activity during these exercises. The adaptation process involved transforming the first PB177 lab exercise into IXP’s exercise definition format, highlighting missing platform features . These identified features were reported, leading to partial enhancements to IXP. Subsequently, a monitoring prototype was developed to capture, process, and visualize executed commands in the PB177 lab exercises, thereby providing instructors with better insight into students’ activity.
