As part of the CHESS project, Martin Macák from Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic, spent March to July at the University of Tartu, Tartu, Estonia, researching a process-oriented risk management approach applied in a case study involving a Czech carsharing company. He presented this ongoing research to staff and students at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Tartu.
Martin, during his visit, mainly collaborated with the InfoSec team (https://infosec.cs.ut.ee). He also presented and discussed his process-oriented research with the research group of Prof. Marlon Dumas. He also attended seminars from both groups.
In addition, he took part in several other events, including dissertation defenses, master’s thesis defenses (as an invited reviewer), a PhD student networking event, and a lecture by Robert Tarjan. These activities provided valuable inspiration and insights for his future work.
Overall, it was an excellent opportunity to establish connections and exchange ideas with researchers at the University of Tartu.
