Future Cryptography 2026, Brussels Edition is a one-day Brussels conference convening policymakers, technologists, researchers, public institutions and strategic technology users to learn about European innovations built to increase trust in digital services. This will lead to a discussion on building next-generation trustworthy digital capabilities in the age of AI, post-quantum transition and geopolitical technological dependency.

Following the success of the Future Cryptography event series in Estonia, supported by the Czech-Estonian CHESS project, the Brussels edition will focus on turning European digital trust from policy ambition into deployable infrastructure: secure digital identity, privacy-enhancing technologies, trustworthy AI, certification, data provenance, post-quantum readiness and verifiable software supply chains.

The event will combine high-level keynotes, expert panels, technical discussions, prototype demonstrations and networking, showcasing concrete European and Estonian success stories while also looking ahead to emerging risks and future needs. Its purpose is to present what already works and to help shape the future of the European digital trust agenda: identifying where new vulnerabilities, dependencies and assurance gaps are likely to appear, and demonstrating how future-oriented solutions fit within current and upcoming EU frameworks. Future Cryptography will show how Europe can execute brave new ideas in building digital trust when regulatory ambition is matched with engineering capability, institutional competence and credible technology partners.
